Refund Policy
Try Heapwatch for two weeks without paying anything. If you subscribe and it turns out not to be for you, we would rather give your money back than keep a customer who feels stuck.
The Short Version
- The trial is free. Fourteen days, no card, no charge - so there is never anything to refund. It won't turn into a paid plan behind your back either.
- Personal plans: 14 days to change your mind. From your first payment you have two weeks to tell us it isn't working out. We refund the part of the period you haven't used and keep only the days you did.
- Business plans: paid is paid. The trial is there so your team can evaluate Heapwatch properly before any money moves. Once you subscribe, we don't refund the fees.
- After that, cancel anytime. You keep everything until the end of the period you already paid for, and we simply don't bill you again.
Wherever the law gives you rights we can't sign away, those rights come first. Everything below is how we handle the everyday cases.
The Free Trial
Every new account gets fourteen calendar days with the product, no payment card needed. Bring real devices, push real firmware, break real things - that's what the trial is for.
Nothing converts automatically. If you decide Heapwatch isn't for you, do nothing and the trial quietly expires. If you want to keep going, you pick a plan and check out yourself.
Personal Plans: Your First 14 Days
If you're buying as a private individual rather than for a company, EU and Slovak consumer law gives you fourteen days after your first payment to withdraw, no explanation required. We're happy to honour it.
Send a note to support@heapwatch.com from the email on the account with "Withdrawal" in the subject, plus your workspace name and roughly when you subscribed. The model withdrawal form from Slovak Act 108/2024 works too, if you prefer the formal route. We'll confirm and send the money back through Stripe, to the card you paid with wherever that's possible.
How much comes back. Your service starts the second checkout succeeds, so we keep the share of the period you actually used and refund the rest. Say you're on Personal at €69 a month and you withdraw ten days in: we keep 10/30 and refund 20/30.
Once those fourteen days pass, Personal plans work like Business ones - cancel whenever you like, keep access to the end of the period, but we don't pay back unused time unless the law says we must (a genuine defect claim, for example).
Business Plans
Business plans are sold to companies and traders, so consumer withdrawal rights don't apply. By subscribing to one you're telling us you're buying for your business.
That's exactly why the trial exists: two weeks to put Heapwatch in front of your firmware team before anyone approves a spend. After that, subscription fees aren't refundable. You can still cancel at any point - you'll keep full access until the period you paid for runs out.
Cancelling
Open billing in the app and cancel there, or email support@heapwatch.com and we'll take care of it. No retention gauntlet, no phone call. Cancelling stops the next renewal rather than clawing back the current period - the one exception being a consumer withdrawal inside the fourteen days described above.
Playing Fair
We keep the refund window generous because almost everyone is straightforward about it. If an account is clearly cycling through subscribe-and-refund to use paid capacity without ever paying for it, we'll close that account and any related ones. This never affects a first, genuine change of mind on a first subscription - that's what the window is for.
Talk to Us
Not sure which of the above applies to you? Ask before you buy - we'd much rather answer a question than process a refund. Write to support@heapwatch.com.
