Realtime Memory, CPU & Heap Fragmentation At A Glance
Instantly see how much internal and external memory your device is eating up. Prevent heap fragmentation and malloc failures. See how much CPU is your app burning that instant.
See what your firmware is really doing... per-task stack margins, heap history, file upload and download, NVS and commands in one place. On the bench or in the machine - no cable needed.

Storing time series data once per minute is okay to see if your fleet is alive at scale. Heapwatch captures your data once per second and stores millions of data points, so you and your AI agent can determine, what is truly happening inside the device you're developing.
Fixing crashes without knowing what actually to fix is either hit or miss or a pure nightmare. Heapwatch automatically collects core dump from your device on the next boot and pairs it to the exact firmware build it belongs to, to produce full stack traces, task stack information and everything needed for you and your AI agent to fix the root cause of the crash. Oh, and all of this is automatic. No need to upload your firmware nor core dump manually.
Change your NVS config value with just a few clicks - or have your AI agent do it for you!
See all your tasks and their stack utilizations in realtime. Optimize stack sizes so that you don't waste memory on using too big stacks, nor too small to risk stack overflow and crash.
Execute built-in and your custom commands remotely and observe how the device behaves under real loads.
...and much much more!
Give your AI coding agent - be it Cursor, Claude Code - or any other one - access to your device status, full history of metrics with one second precision to get deep context for debugging, complete crash reports with decoded core dumps, running commands on the device, manipulating config values, files in storage or SD card and doing fast OTA.
Works over ESP's native network interface - be it WiFi, modem, ethernet or any custom netif. No serial cable needed!
Add our Heapwatch Connector dependency to your ESP-IDF firmware project.
Configure the Connector and your application with a simple-to-use wizard.
See what's going on inside your device either via Heapwatch UI or with your AI Agent via MCP.

Heapwatch is a workbench for the boards you are developing and testing, with dense live telemetry captured every second, to massively de-risk and accelerate your firmware development. It is NOT a replacement for your fleet platform, which sends sparse low-bandwidth telemetry to observe large-scale production fleets. You can keep your fleet platform connection, and add Heapwatch ALONGSIDE it during development.
Nope. You don't have to upload anything related to your source code - but you won't be able to leverage crash decoding, nor OTA. OTA requires your firmware binaries uploaded. Crash decoding requires ELF uploaded. You can enable or disable these separately using configuration files. You can easily permanently delete all your firmware files - and they will be immediately deleted. Same for core dump uploads.
It depends on one thing... You must use native ESP-IDF for your project for Heapwatch Connector to work... and add Arduino as ESP-IDF component. This way you will have both ESP-IDF libraries AND Arduino libraries at your disposal. If your firmware uses Arduino ESP32 framework, you will not be able to add Heapwatch Connector as dependency, and thus Heapwatch will not work.
Ha! We specifically designed Heapwatch to be used with your AI coding agent. Cursor, Claude Code or any other agent, can read crashes and the live context around them. Higher plans let the agent change config, run commands and even start OTA updates on your devices.
ESP32-series MCUs built with ESP-IDF. Heapwatch goes deep into ESP32 platform rather than offering multiple platforms just on the surface, so for now the only supported platform is ESP32. We have more platforms on the roadmap.
Heapwatch Connector uses ESP-IDF's MQTT, HTTP and TCP clients to initiate connection with Heapwatch. This allow you and your agent to control the device, receive logs, metric and even large storage files.
Heapwatch Connector looks for a coredump in your flash right on the next boot. If it finds one, it sends it to Heapwatch so you can immediately see all the information we have on the crash - including file, line number and function - and broad device metric leading to the crash with one second precision. You and your AI agent will have deep context finding the root cause of the bug and fixing it properly.
No, that is the point. Heapwatch was made so you can have full visibility and command into your device WITHOUT having to get the board and plug it in. Telemetry, crash dumps, OTA, config changes and file access all work over the network - even on boards you cannot reach with a cable.
Absolutely! Remote config changes values on the device without having to do another release and flash - and you can read or write files on the device right from the browser!
No. There is a 10-day free trial of the top plan. After the trial you choose a plan or the workspace locks.
Heapwatch is operated from the European Union. All your data are stored on EU infrastructure, under European data protection rules.
